This year we’re reshaping SW Darkroom into what it was always meant to be: a community-led space run by artists, for artists. Our mission is simple: keep analogue photography alive and accessible, and give photographers the time, space, and freedom to create.

To support this vision, we’re offering a rare membership opportunity:
Become a Full Member for £200/month and gain unlimited 24/7 access to one of the best-equipped darkrooms in London, for a fraction of what studios usually charge

What you get as a Full Member:

• Black & white printing area (printing, up to 54 inches)

• Print 35, 120, 4×5 or 8×10 negatives

• 2145mm x 1585mm sink with troughs, custom made for the darkroom with large black/white printing in mind

• Multiple trays, all chemicals provided

• Colour printing facilities with RA4 processor

• Imacon scanner for high-quality scans

• B&W film development sink

• Chill-out zone with books, coffee machine, microwave, bike and car parking

• Host your own workshops or events (at a reduced hire rate)

Terms & Conditions – Full Membership

– The Full Membership is a rolling contract with a minimum commitment of 6 months.
– A refundable deposit of £200 (equivalent to one month’s membership) will be required. It will be returned at the end of the membership period, provided all terms are respected.
– A notice period of 2 months is required to terminate the membership. This can be reduced if the membership is transferred to someone else (subject to approval).
– Membership is strictly personal and cannot be shared or transferred without prior agreement.
– Members have full access to all facilities except the Noritsu scanner. Use of the Noritsu may be granted after completing a paid training session.
